| Explore the Loxahatchee River on a Self-Guided Tour |
Riverbend Park to Jonathan Dickinson Park After leaving Riverbend Park, you will pass through the beautiful Cypress Canopy. Cypress trees hundreds of years old give refuge to many endangered species of wildlife. Otters, turtles, alligators, and birds of great variety are just some of the wildlife you can observe in this section. As you continue past Trapper Nelson's, the river changes character from Cypress Swamp to Mangrove Estuary. Spotting an osprey, bald eagle, or occasional manatee will put the finishing touch on your unique and memorable journey.
